On September 3, 2024, the Brazilian Intellectual Property Office (BRPTO) issued a notice that the problem of displaying data and documents in the Brazilian electronic application system Buscaweb for industrial designs still exists, making some of these documents unusable. The BRPTO expects that the problem will be resolved by December 27, 2024.
In addition, the issuance of industrial design certificates granted by BRPTO Official Gazette No. 2758 will be suspended until the new process management system is updated and completed on September 30, 2024.
Inconsistent display of industrial design registration data and documents from the Hague Agreement has resulted in the unavailability of certain documents in the Brazilian electronic application Buscaweb system and the display of outdated information related to the International Gazette. The deadline for resolving this system problem is approximately September 30, 2024.
