Dubai launches intellectual property centre to empower innovation

Recently, Dubai officially launched the Dubai Intellectual Property Center (DIPH), the UAE's first platform for centralized management of intellectual property and intangible assets. Its core mission is to provide a convenient digital intellectual property registration experience, protection guidance, and related tools for intellectual property strategy development and commercial utilization. It aims to support entrepreneurs, artists, scholars and start-ups by providing the tools and resources needed to protect and commercialize intellectual property.

The official launch of DIPH at the "IP2024: A Glimpse into the Future of Intellectual Property" event held at the Museum of the Future marks an important step in the UAE's efforts to promote innovation and creativity. The platform integrates the intellectual property registration function of the UAE Ministry of Economy and will further enhance Dubai's position as a global technology and innovation center. This move is in line with the "Our UAE 2031" vision, which aims to build the UAE into a global gathering place for talent and creativity. It demonstrates the UAE's commitment to building a strong legislative and institutional framework to protect intellectual property, stimulate creativity and promote business growth in the new economy.
