Under the amendments to Indonesia's Patent Law, which came into effect on October 24, 2024, patent holders of granted patents are required to submit an annual declaration of working of their patents in Indonesia before the end of each calendar year. The Indonesian Office of Intellectual Property (DGIP) has officially released an official declaration of working form, which patent holders can submit through the DGIP electronic system. While no supporting documentation is required, patent holders must formally declare the working of their patented invention in Indonesia and select the appropriate form of working on the form:
- Patented products have been manufactured but not yet commercialized
- Patented products have been manufactured and commercialized
- Patented method used but not yet commercialized
- Patented method used and commercialized

- license
If the patent has not yet been exploited in Indonesia, the patentee may clearly state in the official form: “The above registered patent has not yet been exploited in Indonesia”.
The implementation statement must be submitted annually for all valid patents, with the deadline being December 31 of each year, regardless of the patent authorization date.
