Saudi Arabia, officially known as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is an Arab country located on the Arabian Peninsula in West Asia. Saudi Arabia is the fifth largest country in Asia and the second largest in the Arab world after Algeria, with a land area of approximately 2,150,000 square kilometers (830,000 square miles). Saudi Arabia is bounded by Jordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast, and Yemen to the south. Saudi Arabia is divided by Egypt and Israel in the Gulf of Aqaba.
