In Hungary, the following disclosures provide for a novelty grace period of 12 months:
- Disclosures resulting from abuse related to the applicant or his legal predecessors;
- the disclosure was made by the applicant, his predecessor or a third party (if the information was provided by the applicant or his predecessor).

Furthermore, if the design is disclosed to a third party under conditions of confidentiality, the disclosure will be disregarded.

The JPO conducts formality examination only for utility model patent applications.

Reinstatement of priority is accepted on the grounds of "due care".

Design pictures can contain up to 12 pictures. UKIPO only conducts a 2-week formal review of design patent applications. If there are any defects, the applicant must reply to UKIPO's review comments within 2 months. Design applications can be patented after overcoming the defects.

• Grant fee: The applicant shall pay the granted registration fee within 3 months after receiving the notification of granted decision.
• Annuity: Three annual fees shall be paid in the 3.5th year, 7.5 years and 11.5 years from the date of granted, and the payment may be postponed within 6 months after the overdue period, but 25% of the annual fee of the current year shall be paid at the same time as a penalty.

If the disclosure is caused by the inventor or the information source of the discloser is the inventor; or if the disclosure occurs again after being disclosed by the above-mentioned subject, the patent enjoys a novelty grace period within 12 months before the filing date/priority date.

A novelty grace period of 6 months is available if:
