On June 1, 2023, the European unitary patent was officially implemented. There are currently 600 patent applications requesting a European unitary patent on the European Patent Register, and they will be announced soon. As of the end of May, the European Patent Office had received a total of 800 applications for European unit patents and 4,500 applications for delayed publication of European patent grants, which took effect in June and early July.
