UKIPO released its work plan for 2024, suggesting three major work visions:
1. Providing excellent intellectual property services
UKIPO will provide customers with comprehensive services to make each service user-friendly, and will adopt global leading standards and make adjustments based on customer needs;
2. Create a world-class intellectual property environment. Make sure that the British IP system can provide support and incentives to innovators, so that innovators and the public can fully display their creativity at home and abroad.
3. Establish a good working environment
UKIPO regards employees as new assets to achieve the above vision, creates the best working environment for employees, ensures that employee value is valued, enables employees to have sufficient capabilities and resources, and provides services closer to users.
At the same time, UIPO will focus its work in 2024 on the following projects:
- Provide UKIPO’s core intellectual property licensing services;
- Under the One IPO transformation plan, we continue to improve the way UKIPO provides services.
- While retaining existing EU Law (Retained EU Law) and trade negotiations, seek an intellectual property framework that can bring benefits to the British economy.
- Assess the feasibility of cross-regional collaboration to support SME innovation to maximize the value of intellectual property.
- Develop strategic workforce planning capabilities to establish the optimal size and shape of the organization.
- Evaluate UKIPO's current organizational culture and plan a future cultural blueprint.
- Establish a vision and develop a strategy.
