Indonesia Profile

Indonesia is a unitary sovereign state across continents, mainly located in Southeast Asia, with some territories in Oceania. With a population of over 260 million, it is the fourth most populous country in the world. The country shares land borders with Papua New Guinea, East Timor and eastern Malaysia. Other neighboring countries include Singapore, the Philippines, Australia, Palau, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a joint overseas dependency of India. Indonesia is a founding member of ASEAN and a member of the Group of 20 major economies.
