Effective August 1, 2022, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) will begin implementing the new Electronic Patent Transfer System (EPAS) and Electronic Trademark Transfer System (ETAS) to streamline many procedures related to the transfer of rights, including patent applications Procedures for Assignment, Obtaining Information on Assignment of Patent Applications, Assignment Issues, Patent Liens, Assignment Requests, and Filing Requests and Trademark Assignment Requests.
