PCT-ASPEC Pilot Program, also known as: "Patent Cooperation Treaty-ASEAN Patent Examination Cooperation Program", this program will continue to be extended for 3 years until August 26, 2025. The maximum number of applicants per year is 100, and other criteria remain unchanged.
The PCT-ASPEC mechanism was launched in 2019. Based on the establishment of search reports or preliminary examination reports by ASEAN international search or preliminary examination agencies, mutual recognition of examination results among ASEAN member states will speed up patent granted in the nine member countries.
