Chapter 12 of the Guidelines for the Substantive Examination of Invention Patents in Taiwan has officially implemented the examination standards for software-related inventions on July 1, 2021. At present, the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office has completed the English translation of this chapter to assist the international intellectual property community in Taiwan. To understand the standards of invention examination and improve the service quality for patent applicants outside Taiwan.
