From July 1, 2022, the Australian Patent Office will use the latest version of the patent examination preliminary examination Specification.
The update of the preliminary examination procedures is mainly aimed at the requirements of the amino acid and nucleotide sequence listings in the Australian patent application documents. It clearly stipulates that from July 1, 2022, the format of amino acid and nucleotide sequence listings must comply with WIPO ST.26 standard.
