The list of winners of Taiwan’s 2022 Invention and Creation Awards is out!
On April 17, the State Intellectual Property Office announced the results of the 24th China Patent Award.
At about the same time, Taiwan also announced its own patent gold award, the Invention and Creation Award , which is the highest honor option in the patent industry established by the Taiwan government to encourage creators who engage in innovative research and development and obtain invention, utility model or design patents. In addition to ministerial-level certificates and trophies, the winners will also receive bonuses.
There are a total of 459 eligible entries for the 2022 Taiwan Invention and Creation Award, 382 for the Invention Award and 77 for the Excellence Award. Among them, there are 12 patent gold medals and 31 patent silver medals. The Excellence Award not only attracted active participation from all walks of life in industry, academia, and research, but the participating works also had unique innovations and applications in various technical fields. In order to conduct an objective and fair professional selection, the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office grouped patents by technical fields and hired experts and scholars in each technical field to conduct preliminary and re-examinations. The list of winners will finally be released in March 2022.
The patents that won the patent award this time have been commercialized and have obtained foreign patent rights in many countries. They have deep market potential and cover many technical fields such as optoelectronic liquid crystal, communications, biomedicine, medical equipment, smart machinery, and environmental protection economy. In addition, Taiwan will also hold the "2023 Ministry of Economic Affairs Industrial Innovation Joint Award Ceremony" and will exhibit the award-winning patents and their products at the "2023 Taiwan Innovation Technology Expo" held from October 12 to 14, 2023. Increase the exposure of patent awards, attract the attention of domestic and foreign investors, and create new business opportunities for patent holders.
