5. Turkish trademark registration application process:

  • Generally, the application will be accepted about one week after submission, and the Turkish Intellectual Property Office will conduct a formal and substantive examination of the application. If the review fails, the official will issue a rejection notice and require the applicant to respond to the issues within the required time limit. After passing the review, it will enter the announcement objection period (2 months from the announcement date). During this period, any interested parties and prior rights holders who have objections to the application may raise objections to the application. 10. Madrid registration

  • The time limit for responding to a provisional refusal of an international registration in Turkey is 2 months from the date of WIPO's notification of provisional refusal to the applicant. To confirm the notification date, some evidence needs to be submitted. This time limit has not been extended. The reply language is Turkish. Foreign applicants must designate a local representative to submit the response. You can appeal the Office's final decision within 2 months of receipt of notification.
