Starting from January 1, 2024, the German DPMA will implement the 2024 version of the 12th edition of the Nice Classification (NCL 12-2024). Classifications of goods and services will be published in the Federal Register in an alphabetical list. Although the five-year cycle of new editions of the classification has not changed, the DPMA has released a new edition every year since January 2013. Possible changes include new entries, deletions and rearrangements of existing entries. There are no major structural changes in the current version.
