Singapore's Intellectual Property Office (IPOS) and French National Industrial Property Institute (INPI) launch PPH Patent Prosecution Highway

The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS) announced that starting from September 1, 2024, IPOS will launch the PPH Patent Prosecution Highway project with the French National Institute of Industrial Property for a period of two years until August 31, 2026.

The benefits of PPH are:

  • Increase the likelihood of patent authorization
  • Faster, fewer review comments
  • IPOS strives to issue the first office action within 10 months from the date of the PPH request.

Since then, IPOS has signed PPH agreements with the European Patent Office (EPO), the Chinese Patent Office (CNIPA), the Mexican Industrial Property Institute (IMPI), the Saudi Arabian Industrial Property Institute (SAPI) and the French National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).
