Nordic Innovation Award to be launched for the first time in 2025

The Nordic Innovation Award will be jointly established by the Nordic patent, design and trademark management agencies, including the Norwegian Industrial Property Office. Aiming to jointly promote innovation and contribute to a more sustainable future, the Innovation Award will be awarded for the first time in 2025.

The award will help to raise awareness and develop expertise in the strategic use of intellectual property rights (primarily patents, trademarks and design registrations). The award is open to all Norwegian small and medium-sized companies and start-ups that meet the following criteria:

• Must be a company registered in Norway (relevant documents required)
• The number of employees must be less than 250 at the time of application
• Must own at least one registered intellectual property
