The Kingdom of Bahrain, commonly known as Bahrain (Arabic: البحرين‎), is an island country located in West Asia, near the west coast of the Persian Gulf, with its capital Manama. Bahrain Island is the largest island in Bahrain, 55 kilometers long from north to south, 18 kilometers wide from east to west, with a total area of about 758 square kilometers. The climate is a tropical desert climate.
