The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) recently launched a Diversity Information Platform (DI Platform) to advance diversity and inclusion efforts across the innovation ecosystem by providing a free data-driven analytical tool and a one-stop data information platform for discussing and sharing best practices.
The newly released DI Platform is available to anyone with internet access. It offers several innovative features, including:
- Visual representation of the demographic composition of U.S. states and industries from 2014-2021.
- Any organization can compare its demographics against its own industry sector, including more than 100 U.S. industries.
- A forum to share best practices and promote participation in the innovation ecosystem.
- Additionally, for the first time, a set of visualizations is available showing the demographic makeup of the USPTO workforce by geography and occupation.
DI Platform data is built on public data provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the USPTO. All visualizations and data on the platform can be downloaded and used without restrictions to create presentations or use the data directly in other applications or software.
Readers interested in this platform can contact the page code to obtain the access link of DI Platform.
