From November 25, 2024, the German Intellectual Property Office DPMA officially became part of WIPO DAS. DPMA will participate in the World Intellectual Property Organization's Priority Document Digital Exchange Service (WIPO DAS) as a "Depositing Office".
On the basis of the first DPMA application, applicants can now choose to file a request for the deposit of priority documents with the DPMA when filing subsequent invention and utility model patent applications abroad, and provide free electronic priority documents to visiting offices in other countries through the WIPO DAS system.
