The reporter learned from the meeting that in 2022, China will authorize 798,000 invention patents , 2.804 million utility model patents, 721,000 design patents, and accept 74,000 PCT international patent applications.
By the end of 2022, the effective number of invention patents in China will be 4.212 million. Among them, the effective number of domestic (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) invention patents is 3.28 million. Hu Wenhui, deputy director of the State Intellectual Property Office, said that my country is the first country in the world with more than 3 million effective domestic invention patents, among which the number of high-value invention patents has reached 1.324 million, a year-on-year increase of 24.2%, accounting for 100% of the effective amount of invention patents. The proportion exceeds 40%. The latest World Intellectual Property Indicators report released by the World Intellectual Property Organization also shows that the number of effective invention patents in my country has ranked first in the world.
Hu Wenhui introduced that by the end of 2022, there will be 355,000 domestic enterprises with valid invention patents, an increase of 57,000 from the previous year, and 2.324 million valid invention patents, a year-on-year increase of 21.8%. Among them, high-tech enterprises and specialized and special new "little giant" enterprises have 1.512 million valid invention patents, accounting for 65.1% of the total number of domestic enterprises, an increase of 0.5 percentage points over the same period of the previous year. The innovation vitality of Chinese enterprises has continued to increase.
In addition, the data show that technological innovation in the digital field is increasingly active. According to the statistics of 35 technical fields classified by the World Intellectual Property Organization, by the end of 2022, my country's information technology management, computer technology and other digital technology fields will have the fastest growth in effective invention patents, with a year-on-year increase of 59.6% and 28.8% respectively. In 2022, the number of invention patents granted in the core industries of my country's digital economy will be 325,000, a year-on-year increase of 17.9%, and the patent reserve will continue to increase.
