Saudi Intellectual Property Office becomes international search and preliminary examination authority

The Saudi Intellectual Property Office (SAIP) announced that it has been appointed as the international search and preliminary examination authority under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT/ISA/IPEA), becoming the second international search and examination authority to support the Arabic language.

Therefore, applicants filing PCT applications in Arabic can designate SAIP as the International Searching Authority (ISA).
