Design patent applications in Taiwan, China and South Korea launch electronic exchange of priority certification documents
Starting from July 1, 2023, electronic exchange of priority certificate documents will be launched for industrial designs in Taiwan, China and South Korea.
Taiwan, China has expanded the scope of electronic exchange of priority documents. Following the implementation of electronic exchange of priority certification documents for invention and utility model patent applications, starting from July 1, 2023, Taiwan, China and South Korea have also opened design patent applications. Convenient measures for the electronic exchange of priority certification documents have been introduced.
The priority document exchange mechanism between Taiwan, China and South Korea will make it more convenient for patent applicants and save time and cost.
