From July 1, 2024, when an applicant submits a request for extension of a Chinese authorized patent to the Macao Economic and Technological Development Bureau, if the applicant declares in the application form that the "patent specification" and "copy of the patent registration book" are used, it will be deemed that the relevant documents have been submitted to the Macao Economic and Technological Development Bureau.
This move simplifies the current application procedures, and applicants no longer need to apply for the above-mentioned documents from the State Intellectual Property Office of China.
