Vietnam Intellectual Property Office IPVN starts sending official documents by email

The Vietnam Intellectual Property Office IPVN issued a notice on February 18, 2025 that official notices, such as examination opinions and payment notices, will be sent by email. Documents issued after January 1, 2025 will be sent to the email address provided by the applicant, and IPVN will no longer provide paper confirmation copies. If the email fails to send, IPVN will send paper documents. If the applicant does not provide an email address, IPVN will also send paper documents. IPVN will gradually replace paper documents with electronic documents and make them have the same legal effect.
